Brain training game «Hemispheres Battle»

What do you know about Leonardo da Vinci? Of course, his brilliant paintings are known to everyone: "Mona Lisa", "The Last Supper", "Madonna Litta", "Man" ... There are a lot of them, and they are beautiful. But do you know that da Vinci, who became the creator of a rotating chain for a bicycle, who invented a variety of weaving machines, machines and devices, aircraft and much more?

His engineering developments, which have come down to us only in records, are simply amazing. He designed dams, canals, sluices, mills, landscaped cities in his blueprints, and even calculated the cost of implementing his projects. He was a man of genius who "saw through the ages."

But there is another fact that allows you to better understand the reasons for such genius. Leonardo da Vinci was ambidexter, that is, he was able to freely equally use both his left and right hand. It is known that, in accordance with the laws of higher nervous activity, the left side of the body is controlled by the right hemisphere of the brain, and the right side by the left. Thus, both hemispheres of the brain worked equally for da Vinci.

A hundred years ago, scientists discovered that the hemispheres of the brain are responsible for different functions. The ability to speak and perceive speech, the ability to write, read, count, memorize is the area of responsibility of the left hemisphere of the brain. The right hemisphere allows you to distinguish intonations and colors, sing, perceive music, and consciously follow the changes in what is happening.

Have you noticed that different hemispheres are responsible for the ability to read and distinguish colors? That is why, when you need to quickly name the color of a word that is the name of another color (for example, the word “red” is written in yellow), then at first it is not easy at all: at the same time, the two hemispheres of your brain “collide”.

Reaction delay when reading a word whose meaning differs from its actual color is called the Stroop Effect. In 1935, John Ridley Stroop published his work, in which he found a direct relationship between the frequency of training and the speed of making the right decisions in a given problem.

B-trainika offers you to train the right and left hemispheres of the brain with the help of the online game "Hemispheres Battle", which is based on the Stroop Effect. You will need to answer whether the name of the color in the left block matches the color of the word in the right. Of course, we do not promise that you will immediately become a genius like Leonardo da Vinci, but it will be easier for you to concentrate, perceive the situation more meaningfully, see the essence of the problem, and make the right decisions faster.

Develop systematically together with B-trainika! Choose the most suitable program for you and train your memory, attention, perception and thinking every day!
